We find that when our employees are happy and enjoying their jobs, this translates to a great guest experience. Even though our high elevation provides for excellent snow conditions, it can sometimes cause short-term altitude sickness issues for some of our guests traveling to Brian Head from lower elevations. Typically, the symptoms are short-lived, and the tips you provided are all very helpful. Drinking a lot of water can also be beneficial. Next time you visit, come and join us in our Last Chair Saloon for a little night life. There is always good food, drink, and on most weekends and holiday periods we feature live music.

We look forward to seeing you again soon. We decided to try Brian Head instead of Park City because it was a last minute decision and was within driving distance for us from southern California. We were at the resort from December 29, It was a mistake to go at peak ski time because the resort appeared overwhelmed at the number of visitors. We signed up for the ski camp and when checking in, no one was able to find our reservation.

The disorganization was bad enough; however, the attitude of the one lady in charge was what really irked me. She was the only one I was told who could take care of finding the "lost" reservation; however, after waiting 20 minutes or so, she still refused to even look for it, pretending to be busy checking in others who were behind us in line. If these people cannot deal with the inevitable stress that comes with interacting with thousands of people from all walks of life and backgrounds, then perhaps they should not work there.

On a brighter note, the ski instructors were all pleasant, polite, and courteous. Once we got out on the slopes on our own, the experience was considerably better.

We probably will not return or at least avoid visiting during peak season. I'm very disappointed to hear of your unpleasant experience with us.

We sincerely work very hard to instill in all of our employees that quality, friendly customer service is the Resort's number one priority, and that our guests deserve nothing less. The Christmas holiday period is typically the busiest time of the season for us, as it is for all ski resorts.

The crowds for us this season were augmented by the excellent snow and weather conditions. In fact, we set a record for skier visitation this past holiday period. The Christmas season is also the first busy period of the ski season for many of our seasonal employees, many of whom are new to the ski industry. Again, this holds true for most ski resorts. When the Christmas holiday season arrives, most of our employees have only been working part time for three weeks or less under much less crowded and hectic conditions.

The learning curve is very steep. We attempt to mitigate this by having more of our experienced employees and managers on the floor with the less experienced new employees. Unfortunately, there can sometimes be gaps in the processes.

I apologize that you had to experience a couple of these apparent gaps. With all of this said, there is certainly no excuse for your unpleasant experience. I can only hope that you and your family will visit us again and give us another chance to exceed your highest expectations.

We live in Texas and try to make a ski trip to Utah every year. I was really impressed with the staff. Kaden in the Tech Shop was very helpful in making sure my bindings were adjusted properly He was very smart and easy to approach. In fact, all of the staff was easy to engage and very eager to assist.

I heard a few people complaining about the lines I am shocked to even see them comment in the reviews. They must be very spoiled because any Resort over Christmas to New Years will be busy- especially with good snow fall. I thought the recent updates they have made were really nice and made a great experience for all to enjoy. It was a very succesful trip and we plan on visiting Brian Head Ski Resort next year! Lacey: Thank you so much for your kind review.

We're very flattered that you came all the way from Texas to ski at Brain Head Resort. We're excited that you chose to join our family! I'm pleased that our staff was attentive to your needs. They truly work very hard to see that each and every one of our guests enjoy their experience with us. We believe this personal attention is what separates us from many of the larger resorts.

As you mentioned, even during the busy holiday periods, our lift lines are very reasonable, and again, another nice feature that separates us from the larger resorts. Couple this with our very affordable lift ticket prices, and we offer one of the lowest per run cost available anywhere. We have made many significant improvements to the Resort over the past few years including the installation of a new high-speed detachable quad chair lift at our Giant Steps Mountain, and the complete remodel of both our Giant Steps and Navajo day lodges.

These improvements substantially improved our efficiency and the overall guest experience. Thank you again for your review. We look forward to your next visit. I went to Brian Head last year for the first time and I loved the mountain! We went over Christmas week so it was very crowded, but we found that there was not many people in the chair 7 area far right side of Giant Steps when you look at the trail map.

We are going to Brian Head again on January 27th, but this time with a big group. While checking the website I saw that my favorite chair, chair 7, was closed. Will it be opened by January 27th? We're happy to hear that you will be coming to visit us again! The snow conditions are excellent, and more snow is in the forecast. I believe you might have visited our website on a day that Chair 7 was temporarily closed for maintenance, or possibly a high-wind closure. Conditions permitting, we operate all of our chair lifts daily. By the way, Chair 7 is also one of my favorites. There is some great terrain, and as you mentioned, it is often less crowded on busy days.

The views from Chair 7 are also spectacular. Thanks for your review, and we look forward to your visit. Brian Head. Profile JOIN.
